Project: Monument to Dust / The 5-month artist residency at Fabrica Research Centre concludes with an exhibition showcasing the work of the artists who undertook the residency. The spring/summer 2023 exhibition, Monument to Dust, was framed by the theme of Archaism. The exhibition and its brand interpret the transient and the perpetual — visualising the constant, unpredictable evolution and decay of all things. The blue/brown palette was inspired by patina forming on brass. Type was distorted using photos of our time at Fabrica to create abstractions that reveal glimpses of treasured moments. This brand was designed by myself and Charlotte van Alfen.
